YOUR INFORMATION & YOUR CHOICES
Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
Your account email, verification information, and unpublished draft are not part of your public network page. Publishing your network page and enabling private requests in Connections are separate choices. Private connection requests share contact information as explained below.
1. About this policy
This policy describes how MOVO Network handles information through its professional networking service at movonetwork.com and customer support. It does not describe treatment records maintained by a separate healthcare practice. Contact support@movonetwork.com with privacy questions.
2. Information we handle
- Account information: email address, account identifier, sign-in and verification events, authentication/session information, and email preferences. Our authentication service processes passwords when you use password login.
- Professional information: name, credentials, specialty, practice, biography, professional photo if provided, websites, office locations and phone numbers, NPI or license details, profile claims, and review notes.
- Networks and connections: recommendations and their explanations, drafts and published versions, connection-card settings, connection requests, names, practices, contact emails, request status, and dates.
- Billing information: Stripe customer and checkout identifiers, subscription/payment status, plan, billing dates, and records of your agreement to membership terms. Stripe collects payment details; MOVO does not store your full card number or card security code.
- Communications and technical information: support messages and attachments you send, notification content and sending status, and operational or security records such as IP address, browser/device information, request times, and errors processed by our hosting and service providers.
Information comes from you, people who recommend or connect with you, professional websites and public directories used to check listings, and the services supporting MOVO. A professional listing can exist before its subject creates an account.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, review identity claims, maintain the professional directory, save and display your network, deliver connection requests, administer membership, provide support, send service messages, investigate abuse, and meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not use MOVO profile or connection data to provide clinical diagnosis or treatment.
4. What other people can see
- Published provider details: published professional names, specialties, practices, office details, websites and available professional photos can be viewed without signing in and may appear in search engines. Published recommendations can appear in public search. Being listed does not mean the provider joined MOVO or endorsed the person recommending them.
- Your network page: your provider details, introduction, recommendations, reasons, offices, and public contact details become publicly viewable and searchable when you publish an approved network. No account, membership, or separate access link is needed to view it. Your permanent network URL and QR code open the same page. You can unpublish the network. Your account email and NPI/license verification fields are not added to that page by the publishing flow.
- Connections: when you enable private connection requests, colleagues with your Connections URL can view your approved name, specialty, practice, and available photo. Your account email and private connection list are not publicly displayed.
- Private connections: sending a request shares your submitted name, practice, and account email with its recipient. Accepting a request shares the accepting person’s account email with the requester. The relationship is not automatically made into a public recommendation.
- Administration: authorized administrators and service providers may access nonpublic information when needed for identity review, support, security, and operation. “Private” means not publicly displayed; it does not mean inaccessible to the people operating the service.
Unpublishing your network or disabling requests in Connections does not remove other people’s recommendations, independent directory entries, emails already delivered, or copies saved by visitors or search engines. Contact support to request a listing correction or removal review.
5. Services that support MOVO
We share the information needed to operate the service with hosting and infrastructure providers, authentication providers, email providers, and our payment processor. These currently include OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for hosting and application storage, Supabase for authentication, Resend for transactional emails, Google Workspace for support email, and Stripe for payments and billing.
These providers process information under their applicable service terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, with your permission, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate privacy protections. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Publicly publishing a recommendation and sharing contact details with a connection are user-directed features, as described above.
6. Cookies, links, and browser signals
MOVO uses cookies and similar browser storage for sign-in, session security, and essential site operation. Blocking them may prevent login from working. We do not currently add advertising pixels or behavioral advertising tools to MOVO.
MOVO activity tracking is disabled when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. We do not sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising, including when a Global Privacy Control signal is present. Hosting, authentication, and payment providers may collect technical information to supply their services and prevent abuse; their own policies apply to those activities.
Practice websites, maps, and Stripe billing pages are external services. Following a link sends you to that service, where its own privacy practices apply.
Network activity counts
We record network-page views, recommendation-card impressions and actions, search/filter activity, and recommendation publishing changes. Views use a random visitor identifier that rotates each UTC day and is not connected to your MOVO account. We retain coarse city information when available, never precise visitor location, IP addresses, account email, full referring URLs, or patient information in these activity records. Searches are stored only when they exactly match a known professional name, practice, specialty, or city; other search text is replaced with “[redacted]”. Raw activity is retained for 13 calendar months, then replaced by monthly aggregate counts without visitor identifiers, search text, or recommendation text. Tracking honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Operational hosting logs are separate.
When automatic recommendation notices are enabled, publishing a new recommendation after identity review can notify the recommended professional at an email supplied by the recommender or a public professional contact address. Recipient email addresses stay private. Notices include the published recommendation and its public listing link. We record delivery, email opens, link clicks, and whether a listing was claimed; opening an email may be reported by an email privacy feature rather than the recipient. Notices are limited to one per address per seven days, with at most one reminder after 14 days if a notice was opened and the listing remains unclaimed. Recipients can permanently stop recommendation notices using the unsubscribe link. Personal text and email buttons open drafts in the member’s own app; MOVO does not send those drafts.
7. Access, corrections, deletion, and email choices
Use your dashboard to edit your profile, manage recommendations, unpublish your network, disable requests in Connections, or remove a connection. Use Email preferences to manage optional connection and profile-review notifications. Sign-in, security, and billing messages may still be needed to operate your account.
You can request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@movonetwork.com. Include the account email or listing URL and the action you want. You do not need to subscribe or claim a listing to make a request. We may verify your identity or authority before acting, and respond as required by applicable law. Do not email passwords, sign-in codes, full payment details, or patient records.
Some information may need to be retained for security, legal, accounting, or dispute purposes, and requests involving another person’s content require review. We do not penalize people for exercising applicable privacy rights. Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have additional rights, including an authorized-agent request or appeal; contact us to discuss them.
Cancelling membership is separate from deleting your account. To stop future charges, use Manage billing / cancel or ask support for cancellation help.
8. Retention and security
We keep account, draft, and connection information while needed to provide the service and handle your requests. Ending a subscription alone does not delete your drafts. Billing, consent, security, support, and dispute records may be kept longer when needed for legal obligations or legitimate operational reasons. Removal from active systems may precede removal from backups or service-provider retention systems.
We use access controls and service-provider security features to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your email account, use a strong password, and contact support promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
9. Children and patient information
MOVO accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect account information from children. Contact support if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and address it.
MOVO Network is not a patient-record system. Do not upload or enter patient-identifying or clinical information. If you accidentally disclose patient information, contact support without repeating the sensitive information in your message.
10. Policy updates
We will update the effective date when this policy changes. For material changes, we will provide notice through the service or your account email before the change takes effect when required, and seek consent where required. Questions or concerns: support@movonetwork.com.
